We do know of some so called ‘Parrot Rescues’ who are taking in birds, and then re-selling them despite what their web sites states.

During the upgrade, there will be times when the forums are not available, please bear with us, and wish us luck in carrying out a successful upgrade This will help to make the forums more user friendly on mobile devices, and hopefully encourage a few people back to the Birdline Forums. To those who have been asking about this for a long tim...

Anyone sending a message to this address will receive an auto reply redirecting them to the contact us page on the web site. Here there is a simple form to complete, which will be received by whoever is dealing with enquiries at the time. This is just part of a general tidying of some web site admin tasks.

0 Replies and 993 Views PO Box Address      993  0 Started by  swwchris Important message - Please note that the PO Box address should no longer be used. Due to rising costs and the small amount of use we get from this service, it has been decided not to renew it. In future all matters relating to Birdline should be sent to Ÿ Birdline UK Ltd, 101 Lower Cotteylands, Tiverton, Devon EX165BJ Ÿ   This of course includes membership application forms I have asked someone to post this on the Facebook page, but if any ACOs are aware of persons who use the...

9 Replies and 1947 Views Tweets for Birdline    1947  9 Started by  carolrifka Hello! With Anne Conway's permission, I have just set up a Twitter account for Birdline. You can find it here:  https://twitter.com/BirdlineUK Please follow if you're on Twitter and please pass me any news, event listings, links to parrot articles or other interesting bird stuff that might be good tweetable info. I think twitter will be a good way to get the word out about anything going on at Birdline, but I also hope it will be a place for posting info on the lighter side of things. ...

10 Replies and 3138 Views Members and Member Numbers    3138  10 Started by  Deleted User Hey Everyone, OK, for most of you, this post won't make a lot of sense and you probably don't care, but for some the question of how many members Birdline has, is causing much confusion, despite the Birdline leadership explaining things. So, I&160;will try and explain how it works and why, even though it looks like we have 3800&160;members, we actually don't. The confusion appears to have been started by a small indicator on the bottom of the forum page.. The indicator...

1 Replies and 2991 Views Recent Posts & View Unread    2991  1 Started by  Deleted User Hi Guys, Since our last update to the forums, it appears the developers broke the 'Recent Posts' section at the bottom of the website. Instead of showing just the latest reply to a post, it was showing all recent replies to posts. It appears that this has caused a lot of frustration and upset. Developers are denying that it's changed. So, I have removed that feature from the website. To be honest, it is NOT&160;the best way to check for new posts. The best way is by using the 'View U...

6 Replies and 997 Views Gift Aid  997  6 Started by  swwchris A big thanks to Sharon Hill for helping again with submitting our latest Gift Aid claim. On this occasion in particular it proved to be a real task aligning our data, and its format with that required by HMRC. Now we have a two year claim history, we are eligible to claim GASDS - Gift Aid Small Donation Scheme. This means that we can claim gift aid on donations made at shows etc (not including amounts over £20 made by a single individual). There is a small amount of work to be done by us,...

2 Replies and 1248 Views Problem with downloadable form  1248  2 Started by  SharonH FAO Marc or Chris I suspect.   I've just been with a safehouse who were trying to do an evaluation, but the .pdf version of the evaluation wasn't working. I remember this happening in the summer but it was fixed, so I'm not sure what's happening. They were using Windows 7.   They will print off the .doc one and fill in, and I will scan it to an email afterwards, so we will get it done the long way round.   Any ideas.....

1 Replies and 1213 Views Birdline Membership Packs  1213  1 Started by  The Directors Over the last 12 – 18 months the costs for producing membership packs has seen a dramatic increase, through both postage and material. We now have issues with obtaining compatible card used to produce the membership cards. We have taken the decision not to produce membership packs and post these as we have done previously. Instead we are going to send out an electronic version with all the necessary information contained within an e-mail. It is anticipated that the last membership packs w...
