***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** - Birdline now have limited space to take additional birds into the charity. Managers will inform donors of any likely delay to the charity being able to take a bird in.

WARNING – Please Be Aware

If you are looking to re-home your parrot, please always use a reputable Parrot Rescue Organisation.

Always check to ensure the organisation you wish to use is registered with an approved organisation such as ‘The Charities Commission’ or ‘Companies House’.

We do know of some so called ‘Parrot Rescues’ who are taking in birds, and then re-selling them despite what their web sites states.

We have lost our dearly loved Cockatiel in Poplar, London E14 area. It is a 1 year old Male hand reared and cared for from the day it hatched. Very friendly but always cautious at the same time. The bird has a grey beak, dark feet with black nails. Its grey with a white face and light grey crest. Would appreciate if someone finds it, if they would contact us. We are very concerned about its safety and well being as it is a domesticated bird lacking survival skills. We are heartbroken.

Have you put it on ParrotAlert? Informed John Hayward who runs a Lost & Found Register? Called ALL the local vets to report it? If someone finds a bird quite often they will take it to the nearest vet, so it's worth trying. Good luck.

Hi. Yes I have listed him on parrot alert and National Pet Register. I have also informed John Hayward. Will look at local Vets. I have also put posters up localling and distributed flyers door to door where possible.

A sighting which fits his description has been reported in Mile End Park, London E3 around the Art Pavilion Pond / Regents Canal on Sunday 13th November 2016. That's about a mile away from where he was lost.
