***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** - Birdline now have limited space to take additional birds into the charity. Managers will inform donors of any likely delay to the charity being able to take a bird in.

WARNING – Please Be Aware

If you are looking to re-home your parrot, please always use a reputable Parrot Rescue Organisation.

Always check to ensure the organisation you wish to use is registered with an approved organisation such as ‘The Charities Commission’ or ‘Companies House’.

We do know of some so called ‘Parrot Rescues’ who are taking in birds, and then re-selling them despite what their web sites states.

Charlie (Triton Cockatoo) - 1550

Name: Charlie

Breed: Triton Cockatoo

Reference No: 1550

Summary: "Hello Charlie" bet you can't guess my name! I am a loving MSC Cockatoo who will be your best friend if you are my chosen one.

Description:
I love my safehouse Mummy and she can do anything with me, I love nothing more than to snuggle on her lap and be wrapped in a towel. I love to click in her ear. I enjoy a good spray and will lift my wings to make sure you get every part of me wet. I have, before coming into Birdline snipped my feathers, and have continued to do so, but this does not mean I am not happy now. I just have a habit that is hard to break. I am looking for a Mummy who is home most of the day, who has a calm house without any dogs. I had a claw taken off by one and I do not like them anymore and can be aggressive if one is close to me. I am ok with some men, but I am a ladies bird. I will not go to attack men and some can even tickle me through the bars. I just do not want them too close when I am out of the cage. It took me years to trust my safehouse Daddy who eventually walked about with me on his shoulder. I just need time to adjust. I cannot be rehomed with young children, so only respectful teenagers please! Like most Cockatoos I can have my noisy moments but generally (as long as I am getting the attention I feel I deserve) I am a calm bird. If there is a calm home with a lovely lady to take care of me in the Kent area, I will make someone a wonderful companion. I am currently living in Kent and need to be rehomed in this area as I do not travel well and perhaps I can meet my prospective fosterers as I am very choosy. I do have my own cage.

Comes with cage? Yes

Location: Kent

Note: This bird is in the latter stages of the rehoming process and a potential forever home may have been found. Please do not apply for this bird unless the red writing is removed. Thank you.
