90 Replies and 15647 Views NORMAL TIMESCALE FOR FOSTERING A BIRD    15647  90 Started by  Ann Conway
(Topic has multiple pages1 2 3 ... 4 )
Birds are on the rehoming list for approximately a month. This gives ALL&160; members a fair chance to apply.&160; A bird may have 20 applications for it, and each applicant has to be contacted INDIVIDUALLY, which also takes time, as some people may be at work or out at the time of the call, and the rehoming officers have to call back&160; another time. The rehoming Officers are also managers and aco's,&160; and as such&160; have also&160; to deal with everything else entailed in the day ...

1 Replies and 75 Views Cockatiel and Budgie Rehoming  75  1 Started by  Morag More Hi, Hoping someone is able to help. Last year, my grandmother passed away and we inherited her beloved birds who have now become part of our family. My dad has been diagnosed with a lung condition where we have been told we have to get the birds rehomed ASAP in order for him to make a full recovery - which we are absolutely heartbroken about. We have tried everyone we know and the SSPCA. I understand that there is a message that bird line is completely full, but can anyone offer any he...

0 Replies and 139 Views Any mature budgie (cage not aviary) looking for a home?  139  0 Started by  jjlothin 10-year-old Ian's brother Marshall managed to escape on Monday night, and as you would imagine he is distraught. Not entirely sure what to do now (other than NOT keep him as a single bird: that would not be fair on him). In case I decide to get him what would hopefully become a new partner, I was wondering if anyone knew of a similarly lonely budgie who is looking for company and would like to move to Wiltshire

We have been looking after them for 3 years, and they are great birds (untame). The intention was always to tame them and allow them daily flies around our large conservatory, however, after an unfortunate incident 2 years ago, one died suddenly (our only tamed one at that point) from accidentally ingesting what we later r...

If I hadn't have offered to take it, she would have let it go outside. I cannot keep the budgie due to have four dogs 🐶 my question is, where can I contact for help in rehom...

15 Replies and 1953 Views How long have other new foster / adoptive carers had to wait?  1953  15 Started by  Steph_Hart Hi All! I am a newbie and I am excited so I am probably being impatient, I know its a long wait as this charity is run by volunteers, hence why I thought Id write a forum post rather than contacting my ACO again. I first became a member around September and had a phone call from a lovely lady about becoming a foster carer. In October ish time I went though the birds and fell for a pair of Cocktatoo's so I sent an application, it was only a couple of weeks I then received a call about my applic...
