Is the 'normal' routine sound a bird makes pre-programmed?  (If I raise  two of the same breed in isolation will they make the same cry?)

For the Alex owners ..what does an Alex cry sound like?  Is it  a single "oik! oik!" or is it a more complex "woop de doop" noise?

Our youngest bird a Jenday Conure has learned to copy calls of our Hahns Macaw. He has different calls such as "you've just flushed the loo and I know you're coming back" to "you've got food where's mine" plus many more!! Jenny conure has learned to copy them exactly and at the appropriate time. So different species, different sexes we think, different ages so I really haven't got a clue!!!

Birds are like chocolates you cann't stop at just one!

Ive found that male and female alex's have different calls. The females tend to make a more screamy noise, whilst the males make a rougher more quieter call.  It's hard to explain though, I'll have to try and record mine for you x
