6 Replies and 2345 Views CAGs and Toys Advice  2345  6 Started by  ShaneG2 Hi all,   Just after some advice. We have had our CAG for 16 years, since he was 12 weeks old.    He used to play with toys, however overtime he stopped playing with toys, and all he likes is cardboard and paper to chew on and throw out of his cage or from the top of his cage. He likes playing throw and pass with paper from the top of his cage when he is out of it - which is daily for at least 4-6 hours.    We have always put toys in his cage but he doesn't go ne...

6 Replies and 2989 Views Happy Huts - be aware  2989  6 Started by  Kerstin Saw this on a blog i regulary visit... again it happened..these huts are dangerous !! I am going to try to do this post without actually mentioning any brand names so as not to incur the wrath of their manufacturers. They tend to get angry when we trash their products. Let’s just say that if you google the words “hut” or “tent” in combination with the words “happy” or snuggly” you will get product results. The parrot huts look like miniature ...

18 Replies and 3684 Views Make Your Own - Parrot Pinatas  3684  18 Started by  Jenny I have for a while now, been making my own parrot pinatas for Jasper and a few friends and they have gone down rather well.  I'll not take credit for the idea as I got it from a site called Pine 4 Parrots, but thought I would share it with you as I think they make brill toys.  It's like when you used to make paper mache at school, but this is the parrot safe version.   What you need: Balloons - as many as you want to make - just blow them up as much or as little as yo...

1 Replies and 1983 Views Advice about toys  1983  1 Started by  Mandy J Hi My grey loves to shred things. Suprisingly she has never shredded the newspaper in the bottom of her cage but when she is out all paper, cards magazines etc are for hers for the taking. Im sure u read in the firum last year about someone who cut newspapers into squares and hung them in the cage. I have done this with my bird and she is in her element ripping it to pieces. I have also used old magazines and threaded them onto string and she loves to chew them. Are these type of things o...

Well he loves the new mirror and it pecking at his reflection constantly, he hasn't touched the other toys yet but hopefully they will catch his eye at some point. I bought a few dog ropes from the 99p store so now got to work out what to do with them, and i am useless at sewing!

As I'm new to this parrot thing, I've been browsing the web looking at toys, and as there's such a huge selection, I was wondering what your parrots favourates where. I was also wondering if some of the small animal toys would be suitable, like Chewbs or willow balls would be ok Help &160; Oh, I also have a question on perches, and which ones are best
