Toys for mynah bird

    Hi Iv just got a lovely hills mynah bird , and have red that rope toys are a no no , has any one got any good idias suitable for mynahs to play with I've got some shiny toys and a bird safe mirror which is appreciated and a baby rattle his / her fav is a mirror , any other suggestions please

    I've never had a mynah but I've just done some quick reading. The site I went to recommended plastic bottle tops, mirrors, bells and also wads of paper. You could try folded newspaper, rolled up newspaper, cut down pieces of magazines (or argos-type catalogues) and even cardboard (such as toilet roll inners). I guess the real thing to do is try and see what works best.

    The site did say that they have naturally split tongues and that is why string can get caught and choke them. It also said that some people put a cardboard box in the bottom of the cage at night for the bird to sleep in! That's a new one on me, parrots sleep on the perch with a beak under the wing
