6 Replies and 2035 Views My Little Baldy Boy Max  2035  6 Started by  Vicky Ford Came in yesterday afternoon after a nice day out to find little Max dead at the bottom of his cage. He had been his usual self in the morning tying to pluck my eyes out when he was given his toast so it came as a real shock. He had always been what I describe as a bit 'puffy' too fat for his own good but he could fly even though he didn't have many feathers and it made him puff like mad! We had made such progress over the past year and a bit. His mate poor Harley just doesn't seem to know what t...

9 Replies and 2054 Views Fly Free Corky to Rainbow Bridge - Free from pain  2054  9 Started by  Mel I am writing this on behalf of Rita as she is too upset to write this. Corky was a disabled Amazon who Rita had fostered and cared for the past a year, he finally gave up the fight for his life. He is now free from pain & flying free with all the Birdline birds who were given that second chance. Thank you Rita for giving this man the love he deserved. You gave him care and love up to his final hour. You should be proud of what you have done, although the pain w...

4 Replies and 2112 Views Fly Free Appollo x  2112  4 Started by  picowitch As some of you know, we were praying for a miracle last night for a little guy who was in the vets, fighting with all his might , and fight he bloomin well did against the odds, but sadly, we had to say farewell this morning to little Appollo, whom many knew and loved. The vets were able to keep him comfortable till this morning so i could be there with him, and it was almost like he just held on long enough to get one last kiss and cuddle and then he decided it was time to go,as he started to f...

3 Replies and 2267 Views R.I.P Scooby  2267  3 Started by  tracey Scooby was my beloved black headed caique who died while having a fit after anthestic. He died a couple of months before he's first birthday. He died after being diagnosed with a failed kidney and the vet assumed he had kidney problems from birth. Either way I knew I would of still had him. He's ashes are now by my bed. It took us 7hours to go to the vets via train. (their and back) but sadly on the way back we came home empty handed.

11 Replies and 2368 Views 'Darling' My beloved Conure (30 years)  2368  11 Started by  cheekypink We met when he was still in the nest.  I hand-reared him, taught him tricks & things to say. He always said 'Hello Darling' in a whisper to me every morning as he knew I hated loud noises.  He said 'that's nice' when given a treat.  'What are you doing', 'Goodnight' and many more.  I taught him to ring his bell and to do other tricks.  I loved him so very much, now he is gone, died on New Years Eve but I had a feeling it might be the end, I stroked him all ev...
