Was sitting in here talking to Dan and I heard one of the birds shout GOOD MORNING. Not unusual you would be thining with a house full of greys, BUT it's not anyone that I recognise! It sounded like an old lady's voice and a bit squeeky, not like how any of mine talk at all! Bit freaked out now LOL

Lol, I think our birds have good memories, and something will happen that triggers it. We have two greys here that said the same things over and over for weeks, then one day my daughter and grandson came , and they started coming out with all this new stuff. We were in stitches, BUT i CAN SEE HOW IT FREAKED YOU. Greys never cease to amaze me.

We'd never had a parrot before, and there he was, the most beautiful Blue Fronted Amazon, sitting at the back of my lounge. A couple of days after he arrived, we were watching tv and it was a comedy of some sort. We laughed and laughed, then heard a feminine laugh along too.... the next day, I was dusting (yes, I really do, for those of you who've been hear and don't believe it!) and all of a sudden, humming from a woman. It wasn't me, Dave was out and can't carry a tune in a bucket anyway, and I felt quite nervous, then I looked at Jo, BF Ammy, who was humming away happily. Then he laughed - there was the feminine laugh! He came to us from the family of a woman who had died. I felt it was quite creepy until I saw it was Jo. That was 12 years ago. He doesn't hum or laugh like that any more, but hearing it the first time gave me a real turn.

It's been bugging me all day coz the voice sounded familiar - It's definately not one of my birds voices, but I figured out it's sounds very very simular to a bird I used to board a couple of years back! And spookily enough he used to say Good Morning too, in the EXACT tone of voice I heard this morning.  So the question is, who's remembered it, and why has it took them this long to say it? lol Or has someone sneaked Eric in without me looking lol

When I told my dad that I wanted to get a parrot he introduced me to a man that had rescued two greys (I think my dad thought he would put me off but he actually encouraged me to join birdline!) One of the greys had a terrible cough and he spent thousands of pounds at the vet trying to find out what was causing it.  Eventually the vet suggested he try to find out anything he could about the birds past and he managed to discover that he used to live in an old folks home and he was mimicking the old folks coughing fits!  Hillarious!  The vet gave him a partial refund when they found out
