A huge thank you to everyone who came to the Northern training day today, especially in view of the very bad driving conditions.
It was a very successful day.
We had aco's and safehouses attend from Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire, Scotland, and Cumbria.Well done guys !!
Special thanks must go to Sheila, Lorraine, Emma, and Alex who came all the way from Somerset and Devon, and without whom it couldnt have gone ahead.
Safe journey home to you all.
A lot to take in, but on a lighter note, I hope that a certain person doesnt have too many "orgasms".lol !!!
Dont ask.You know who you are??

Excellent Ann I am so pleased the day went well, especially for the gang who made that long journey from Somerset and Devon including of course sunny Brixham!

Ty,

This event happened last year (2011) so that's why it isn't on the calendar. I'm not sure if the Directors/Managers have any more training days planned. It would be best to chat with your ACO/Area Manager and see if they can do some work/training with you to enable to get involved with helping out (as I know you're desperate to help as much as possible.) Enthusiasm is always welcomed

Oops, got excited with the idea of training days didn't notice the year was 2011! I made contact with my ACO this week so things are moving along.
Until talking to my ACO I didn't realise the scale of the task, so many birds coming in each week needing to be rehomed. I can see why you need more volunteers.
