WARNING – Please Be Aware

If you are looking to re-home your parrot, please always use a reputable Parrot Rescue Organisation.

Always check to ensure the organisation you wish to use is registered with an approved organisation such as ‘The Charities Commission’ or ‘Companies House’.

We do know of some so called ‘Parrot Rescues’ who are taking in birds, and then re-selling them despite what their web sites states.

    Dear all

last night the Helpline was inundated with calls from people both members and users, regarding Facebook.

This is not fair on the Birds who need our help, if the Helpline is busy taking calls regarding Facebook it cannot answer genuine enquiries and most of all emergencies.

Please do not call the Helpline regarding Facebook, we are already aware of what is being said and by whom. We ask that if you are truly for Birdline that you unfriend all the people involved in this malicious group. The people are telling lies and causing panic,  just to attack Birdline. They have issues with people but always attack Birdline, Birdline is the birds. This is unfair as this is not what we are about.

Any person coming onto the forum, who are going to defame Birdline or with the intentions of directing personal attacks on people will be banned. We are not going into 2012 having to deal with people like this who's intentions are to solely destroy Birdline.

The forum is not linked directly to the status of Birdline membership, it is possible to have either without the other. Infact to quote the terms and conditions of Birdline membership:

Full membership, where approved by the Organisation, provides the member with:
    · a no-fee parrot-care advice service for the duration of membership being valid;
    · the opportunity to apply for fostering of a Birdline bird.

People will be blocked and any person trying to log on as a different user will also be blocked. You know who you are!

Posts will be deleted by the moderators of any blocked person.

The terms and conditions are clear and are stated in the forum guidlines:

    ********************

    General
    - Foul language, flaming, abuse or posting in bad taste will not be tolerated. Posts of this nature will be removed and the members involved will be banned or require approval prior to having their posts visible by other members.
    - Please ensure that your links are appropriate to the subject being posted.
    - Advertising and solicitation will be deleted unless sanctioned by Birdline UK.
    - Birdline UK, it's Directors, Administrators and Forum Moderators reserve the right to remove any posts and/or images at its sole discretion.
    - Members should not post the personal details, the content of PM's or the content of Emails from other members on this forum without the permission of the member/s concerned.

    ***********************

We ask that 2012 is started as a good new year, with genuine people who are there for the birds (Birdline is the birds).

The forum was set up for people who need advice, to have a good time, chat to bird minded people, make friends and were genuinely concerned about birds. This is now being abused and it is not the first time.

If this continues the forum will be taken down as we are being prevented from concentrating on the important things "the Birds",  we are just getting tied down with Facebook issues and disgruntled people attacking Birdline.. Again I advise these people will be blocked for the sake of the forum. Please all remove these people from your Friends on Facebook, and lets start the New Year on a positive note.

We would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and thank everyone for their help and support during 2011.

On behalf of the Directors of Birdline UK Parrot Rescue

God loved birds he created trees, man loved birds he created cages :-(
