Where has the insert image icon gone when trying to upload from Photobucket???

There is an Image Editor but although I try and insert the Photobucket link, nothing seems to happen

I know I can just put the link but prefer to put the photos on.

    Darcysmall

Darcy says: You can still upload pictures here, but you need to copy and paste the html code into your post. Just beware of the picture size, resize it in photobucket first if its too big for the forum.

I agree that the old way of doing it was a lot easier for us, I wonder what the reason is to remove it? (Most likely an update to the forum format?)

DOH! Just now found the image map editor.. sigh *slaps forehead* Ok, lets play with that one for a bit then!

Edit 2: Had a play with the image map editor and it does pick up the picture if its already in the post, but how to use it to post a new picture from photobucket beats me..  The Image manager I don't understand at all. Hopefully someone will come along and explain it all to us

Resized for you Bumblebee, you need to do this on photobucket, using the edit funtions. About 500 x 600 is good for forum pics I think.

On photobucket you can copy and paste the html code link, and the picture will show up. HOWEVER, try and remember to resize it as mentioned in posts aboce otherwise it'll turn out huge Still havent figured out how to use the Image Editor or Image Map thingy, sorry

hi , try html codes like this

let me give you a detailed explanation on this.

first thing is most of the forums will not  have a direct upload process, even if they have one that would be too lengthy and time taking.so the best way is to use hosting websites. by using these image uploading site we can upload a picture into PORTAL or forum

first of all make sure that image you want to post is already present in your computer(if not no problem you can also paste the url of the picture).

    example : 1)

I started creating a post in a forum. where I want to  paste a car picture in the following snap of a forum:

now keep it a side and open a new tab of the image hosting website  i mentioned here.

2)upload the picture on to the site here i am uploading the car picture nammed GT-R2.jpg

3)and then click upload.you can also upload multiple images at a time.after the upload is done you will be presented with the uploaded pictures and you are now able to select what kind of code and links you need. For example if you like to post your picures on a forum like in this case as i have shown then you simply select BBCodes in the dropdown box and then Copy the code in the text box or message box.and in this reply i pasted html code.

4)after you copied the code, go back to the forum where you  started and paste the code where you want the image to appear: In this example i pasted the code after typing small text so that the image appears after my text

5)now enjoy the picture posted onto the forum.
