You poor thing, what a total nightmare. Clearly your little birdie made a big impression in the time he was with you and was very loved by you.

Thank you all again, your kind words and support has really helped me the past few days including a very supportive phone call on xmas day itself !

Im in no doubt myself and Raiden have benefitted from the wealth of knowledge and advice here, even in the short few weeks since joining the forum, Im sorry we didnt have longer to put it all into practice.

I have posted a thread on the rainbow bridge section, but dont feel obliged to visit there, I know it can be an uncomfortable place for many of us.

Perhaps in time I will feel able to start another flock, but for now I will remain on the sidelines as a birdline member and add a birdline sticker to my already overcrowded car window

Thank you all again from myself and Raiden.

Doug,

I hope that you do feel strong enough to help another needy bird in the future. It's clear you have so much love to give and are willing to learn. I'm so pleased that you've become a member. It will be nice to exchange views and advice (both ways) over many years to come. Just another word about Raiden, don't blame yourself. accidents do happen, what's important is that we learn from them. I'm off to see his tribute on Rainbow Bridge x
