She came to us..by just a stroke of fate....

already many years old..we were decades too late...

Her little body twisted, thru years of neg-lect..

and instead of flying free..she was trapped for a 'Pet'..

Oh my sweet beautiful white cockatoo...

forced to live a life that wasn't meant for you..

I shudder to think of the life that you've led..

And all too late now...my little friend is dead..

Now at last..freed from your sorrow...

Rainbow Bridge offers a bright tomorrow..

Living your dream now..as God intended it to be...

Soaring above the treetops...at liberty...and free....

Thankyou Ann...it was after losing Pebs (a rescue LSC) not from Birdline..that motivated me to join BL as a safe house. There is such a huge need out there for pet birds, from budgies to Macaws..and I just wanted to give something back. I have a new bird coming from BL..just as soon as my house move is completed at the end of this month. It just seemed such a waste of my knowledge, equipment, and love, not to take on another rescue. So very soon now, the heart beat will be heard once again in my home...and I'm so looking forward to another challenge, and the sheer priviledge of coaxing the love out of one of these fasinating creatures...All the very best to you Ann, and the fantastic work you are doing.

    Best regards Sandie
