Over the last 12 – 18 months the costs for producing membership packs has seen a dramatic increase, through both postage and material. We now have issues with obtaining compatible card used to produce the membership cards.

We have taken the decision not to produce membership packs and post these as we have done previously. Instead we are going to send out an electronic version with all the necessary information contained within an e-mail. It is anticipated that the last membership packs will go out up to the end of December 2013 and that this new version of electronic notification will take place as from 1st January 2014.

Should any member still wish to receive a hard copy by post then this will be available at an additional cost of £2.50. This option should be offered at the point of joining or renewing by the member selecting the specific plan, although this is currently being worked on. We will issue a further announcement and confirm at a later date how this will be managed.

We would like to thank you for your understanding and support with regard to this change, to which we feel sure that you would agree these savings would be better spent going towards the care of the birds. This change also brings us in line with a number of other organisations.

The Directors and Staff at Birdline UK Limited would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year

    Seems like a good idea

As part of the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we have to give visitors to our web site an opportunity to choose not to accept Cookies each time they visit. The most straight forward way to achieve this is to ask people to 'Accept Cookies' (or not) each time they visit the site. The users choice will then ONLY be remembered while the browser is open, once it is closed or the computer is shut down the cookie will expire thus the users choice will not be remembered.
