WARNING – Please Be Aware

If you are looking to re-home your parrot, please always use a reputable Parrot Rescue Organisation.

We do know of some so called ‘Parrot Rescues’ who are taking in birds, and then re-selling them despite what their web sites states.

Hi I have just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I live with several dogs ( all small ) 2 beautiful Celestial Parrotlets and an aviary with budgies. I also look after my mum who is quite elderly and she thinks I'm mad to have so many animals to care for ! Especially when it is pouring with rain and I have to go outside with the birds and dogs needs, but I love it. I live on a beautiful Island between Chichester and Portsmouth as far south as you can get without having a dip in the sea. Now that I'm retired I can spend as much time in the day as I want with my animals and spare a bit of time for mum haha. I also have children and grandchildren that are all near, so am never bored. I sometimes wonder how I fitted it all in when I worked ! I have always wanted a parrot and was considering buying one from a pet site, but am very wary of people telling you the truth about the reasons for selling, so I am so glad I have come upon this rescue. At least you have support and advice and the site is solely for the welfare of the birds. I hope to be of help in the future and foster if allowed and then my household will be complete. Cherry x

Welcome from me and mine, too. Being retired is the best - you do things if/when/how you want to, and nobody to chase you etc. Have you considered being a Safe House?
