WARNING – Please Be Aware

If you are looking to re-home your parrot, please always use a reputable Parrot Rescue Organisation.

We do know of some so called ‘Parrot Rescues’ who are taking in birds, and then re-selling them despite what their web sites states.

    Hi
I have just joined Birdline as we would like to bring Parrots back into our lives & where possible, prefer to rescue.
Though birdless currently, over the years we have kept Conures, Cockatiels, Eclectus, Cockatoos, Senegals & bred Eclectus & Blue & Gold .Macaws. However, we have been birdless for about 10yrs due to changes in our working circumstances i.e. More hours, time away from home.
However, we have both recently retired & therefore feel that we now have the time again.
Our household is myself & my husband Nigel & our 4 Cocker Spaniels.
We are shortly (fingers crossed) going to be relocating to live in Wales, so would want this to happen before bringing a feathered friend into our family, but I wanted to begin to complete my research etc.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone
    Kind regards
    Pip

    Hi Pip,

Most people use the face book pages now and not the forums. You would be better off introducing yourself there :-)

Good luck with your move and future plans.

Hi Pip, a quick call to the Helpline would be good - 0845 643 1785. Introduce yourself and say you want to help.
    Good luck,
    Doddie

I've joined the Facebook page but, apart from commenting on individual bird threads, I can't see how/where to post.
    Am I missing something?

Pip, I've forwarded your original Forum Post to the people that cover Wales so hopefully somebody will be in touch.
