Joey & Mango (Jenday Conure & Green Cheeked Conure) - 2450512

Name: Joey & Mango

Species: Jenday Conure & Green Cheeked Conure

Reference No: 2450512

Summary: Hello, my name is Joey. I am a Jenday Conure and I live with my best friend Mango, a Green Cheeked Conure.

We love our life together. We share everything and love each other. We get up around 7.30am and I shout 'Bright Light' for about an hour, while Mango hops around the cage. We get our breakfast (toast) and start our day which I get excited about. Mango is a bit more relaxed until shower time, which Mango absolutely adores. I'm not quite so keen, but I still get wet. This must be done while we are still in the cage as otherwise you have to play “Chase The Bird Around The House”, which is fun for us, but not our Safe House parents, hehehe!! We eat almost anything you give us, but you must cut our food up in to small pieces as we only have little beaks. Our favourite is scrambled egg which we get at tea time. We love our seed (Premium Parrot Mix from Rob Harvey) and Mango bathes in the water bowl whilst I'm trying to have a drink. We like to listen to the radio or TV and that keeps us busy and quiet. We go to bed at 7pm and get covered up after our cage has been cleaned, but we don't go to sleep much before 9pm. We settle down together, and get a good night's sleep ready for the next day. Now Mango doesn't like men at all - she'll fly onto them just to show them how much she dislikes them. I will step onto anyone, I have no preference. Mango will nip occasionally until she gets to know you, but nothing serious. We're nice friendly birds, and our Safe House Mum and Dad think we are great, but would be better suited to a female carer. We dislike the other Conure here and I am unsure how we would be around other pets.

Comes with cage? Yes
