Missy (Orange Winged Amazon) - 8261213

Name: Missy

Species: Orange Winged Amazon

Reference No: 8261213

Summary: It’s lovely to meet you! My name is Missy and I am a 14 year old Orange Winged Amazon. I am a sweet natured bird who would be devoted to the man of the house. I promise I would preen him for hours!

My safehouse Daddy thinks I am lovely - he likes nothing more than talking to me and giving me a tickle while I swing upside down from my cage door. I like my safehouse Mummy too - I will step up for her when I am outside my cage and when I am in the mood I will let her tickle my head and under my chin. I can be a little grumpy at times and will let you know by grumbling at you and gripping your finger. I don't grip hard though so don't be worried, I just need you to be confident with me. I love my seed and like to eat my apples and grapes, my safehouse Mummy keeps trying to get me to eat all sorts of funny looking fruits and vegetables. I have tried them occasionally (just to keep her happy) but I'm not too fussed. I like to take a bath most days, usually in my water bowl so everything around me gets a soaking too. I like to wait until my safehouse Mummy has made my cage nice and clean before I have my bath. My safehouse has two dogs which I quite like - mind you they are very calm. They also have a cat which I like to make jump every so often! I can be quite noisy at times but only when I get excited. I like to sit on the top of my cage so that I can keep an eye on things but you will have to make sure I don't get myself into any mischief. If you would be willing to build a trusting relationship with me I promise I will give you loads of affection!

Comes with cage? No

Location: Derbyshire

Note: This bird is in the latter stages of the rehoming process and a potential forever home may have been found. Please do not apply for this bird unless the red writing is removed. Thank you.
