George (Congo African Grey) - 2010412a

Name: George

Breed: Congo African Grey

Reference No: 2010412a

Summary: Hello. My name is George and I am a Congo African Grey.

Description:
I am a nervous bird and am easily stressed. I get spooked and upset if there are dogs or cats running around and I don't really like the company of other birds. I also struggle to relax in a busy home. For that reason I would like a new home that is very quiet, with no young children or other birds or pets. I would benefit greatly from someone who is home most of the time, and who wants to love one special bird. My safehouse Mum says I am not very noisy. I am very good at cooing and oohing in the right places but I haven't said a lot. I tend to go quiet when I am stressed so she is not sure how noisy I will be when I am very settled. I love to come out of my cage and sit on top and watch quietly, but I don't really like being in the window. I love my food and when I am in a good mood will try anything you give me. When I like you I would love you to scratch my head, and I will sometimes dance with you (well I do for my safehouse Mum anyway!). I don't mind her cleaning out my cage but I really don't like having my perches cleaned, so only one at a time please. I won’t step up I am afraid, but I am really easy to bribe back into my cage as I love my food! I believe I will be a fantastic companion to the right lady (or couple).

Comes with cage? No

Location: Wiltshire

Note: This bird is in the latter stages of the rehoming process and a potential forever home may have been found. Please do not apply for this bird unless the red writing is removed. Thank you.
