Tommy (Hahns Macaw) - 3100616

Name: Tommy

Breed: Hahns Macaw

Reference No: 3100616

Summary: Hi! My name is Tommy and I'm a Hahns Macaw. Hahns may be the smallest of the Macaws, but there's nothing small about me. My character, behaviour and intelligence are massive!

Description:
I'm looking for a lively household where people have lots of time to interact with me. I love when people chat to me. I can talk a little bit and I'm starting to learn different whistles from my safehouse mum and dad. I don’t step up just yet, as I'm a bit wary of hands, but I'm a great flyer and I'll fly to your shoulder when I want your attention. I'm also a very good eater of seed. Unfortunately, I still need a lot of persuasion to eat my fruit and veg. I just don't believe it's as good as you say! I don't like being too far from my cage but I do like to spend time on a playstand which sits near my cage. I think my confidence to go further afield will grow over time. I live with many other birds in my safehouse but my favourite is the quaker. He's become my good friend. Unfortunately, he isn't allowed to come with me when I come to you, so I will be looking for a new bird friend to keep me company. I've lived with dogs, and I don't mind them at a safe distance, but I don't like cats. I have a special comfort toy that I'll be bringing with me. I also have my own cage, but the door is quite small, and in time it would be great to have a better cage. So, what do you think? Could a lively, funny and chatty guy like me fit in to your family? If you think we'd be a good match for each other please apply for me. I can't wait to meet you!

Comes with cage? Yes

Location: Renfrewshire

Note: This bird is in the latter stages of the rehoming process and a potential forever home may have been found. Please do not apply for this bird unless the red writing is removed. Thank you.
