Sammy (Timneh African Grey) - 610417

Name: Sammy

Species: Timneh African Grey

Reference No: 610417

Summary: Hello! My name is Sammy and I'm a happy 30+ year-old Timneh African Grey with a big vocabulary.

I'm a calm and content bird looking for a loving home. I'd been with my previous owners for over 30 years, but their declining health meant they could no longer look after me. My safehouse mum says I'm a very handsome little chap. I'm a bit smaller than my Congo Grey cousins and I have a sweet childlike voice. I love to chat and will always say "good morning" and tell you I'm a "good boy". I make my safehouse family laugh at night because if I'm ready for bed and they're still up I will start saying "good night". Then, if nobody listens, I escalate to "good night, Sammy" then "good night Samuel" then, finally, I just say "GO TO BED!" I love my food and will eat anything I'm given. My favourite food of all is...yours! Hehe. I will be your best friend if you share with me. I'm not used to being handled and find hands scary, so I will never be a cuddly bird. I know I'm an older gentleman, but you'd never know from looking at me or listening to me. I know I still have many years left to enjoy. I have my own cage and as long as I have my bell, cardboard boxes--because they're the best thing in the world for chewing--and newspaper (fantastic for hiding under) I will be happy on my own if you need to work. Losing my owners after so many years has been a bit difficult, but I know there's someone out there who can make my next 30 years even better. Could it be you? If you think so, please apply. I can't wait to meet you!

Comes with cage? Yes

Location: Hampshire

Note: This bird is in the latter stages of the rehoming process and a potential forever home may have been found. Please do not apply for this bird unless the red writing is removed. Thank you.
