Subway (Congo African Grey) - 9831015

Name: Subway

Breed: Congo African Grey

Reference No: 9831015

Summary: Hello, my name is Subway and I'm a cheerful and confident 20 year-old Congo African Grey.

Description:
I'm quite the chatterbox and will natter on for hours or, even better, whistle my favourite tunes for whoever would like to listen. I'm also a great mimic, so you'll probably notice me picking up new sounds and words all the time. I only start getting chatty in the morning when I hear footsteps. When it gets past 9pm at night I have to say “goodnight” several times to my safehouse parents before they get the message. When they finally leave the living room I give them a few wing flaps to show my appreciation. I'm not intimidated by children or cats or dogs – the more bustle the better. New situations don't bother me but I can be overwhelmed when too many new people crowd too close. I love company and if I can hear people in the house I'll do all my best catchphrases and tunes to get their attention. I love to come out of my cage everyday but I'm not very adventurous. I like to play on the top of my cage or hop onto one of my safehouse parents to get some attention. I do have a slight preference for men. My favourite pastime, in or out of the cage, is destroying fresh cardboard, so you'll have to make sure I've got a steady supply. Going back into my cage used to be a drag but I've trained my safehouse parents to clean out my cage and refill my food bowls when it's time to go back. My ideal home would be an active one, with lots going on and never a dull moment. I don't play with toys much but I do love joining in with conversations and laughter. So how about it? Do you think your family might be a good fit for me? I'd love to meet you, so please apply for me if you think we'd be a good match!

Comes with cage? Yes

Location: Sussex

Note: This bird is in the latter stages of the rehoming process and a potential forever home may have been found. Please do not apply for this bird unless the red writing is removed. Thank you.
